It was a protectorate not a colony

Look closely some of it(the darker part) was a British colony, especially in the Berbera/hargeisa area, this is why you see habar awal pictures in British human zoos, from the map you can see the lighter red zones as protectorate for example the warsangeli zone and the Sanaag zone, they had no control of the sovereign white region, this is why you see hardcore secessionist come from the colony zone, because the Edna Ali’s of the world see themselves as British subjects and not Somali, they can vividly remember the garrisons as it wasn’t even 100 years ago, if the colony zone in the darker brown region split nobody would bat an eye, but instead they overextend and made one where these people in sool Sanaag and cayn are included when they weren’t under the same British rule and don’t even have tribal connections, really they share nothing in common and were under a different country of darawish historically

The map I posted was a 20th century one, no somaliland to be seen, and it’s not about issaq as not all issaq were under the colony, check the map, and interestingly enough those areas aren’t big fans of secession either, just the English colony triangle region to the far west

Somaliland has never been a country, and never will be, get that out your head, we’re talking states within Somalia here, and no there’s no defined borders which is why there’s the dispute in the first place

I heard the warsangali were complaining about development in Eastern Sannag province which is why they switched from SL to PL, is it true ?

sxb warsangali were just getting money and chilling,they are playing both sides. one of the reason they defected was muse bixi cutting their cash flow. diaspora warsan also sent money to their tuulo to incourage them to defect
sanaag is too big and its a wasteland,if it wasn't for the border integrity thing,i would have gladly advice sl to dump half of sanaag and focus on ceerigavo and building a port there for easy access from berbera,there is a plan to build a railway from berbera to hargeisa,which is stupid!!why no use the railway to connect the east with the capital,easier to transport goods and soldiers there

Tbh, I found it weird that SL army was pulling out from baran and both the senior army official in hargeysa and the sannag governor said they didn't want to waste money so they left because they were getting ripped off by the locals.

It will end in a referendum of some sort. Somaliland will be a state of Isaaq and Gadabursi if it wants independence. If Harti are a part of Somaliland it will stay a federal state. There is no path towards independence where Dhulbahante and Warsangeli are part of Somaliland. We will give Somaliland independence once it recognizes itself as a state for Dir Waqooyie.
