@Southie DP world made the exact similar contract with Djibouti

DP World and Djibouti’s government established a joint venture in 2006 with the signing of a 30-year concession to operate the container terminal, which the company describes as “the most technologically advanced” depot in Africa. The facility, inaugurated in 2009, has a 1.05 kilometer-long (0.66-mile) quay and the capacity to handle eight super-post-panamax cranes, according to its website.

It seems like there's an explosion in Ugandishu every other day and here you are concerned with the affairs of people living in peace. Is this how the mind of a Hutu works? Please help me understand...

:damn::damn:

This nigga out here talking about business deals in other countries while his folk are being blown up and his women being sold :dead:

I think SL got a sweet deal. They didn't have the funds needed to expand the port. This expansion will take place over 30 years which is relatively short. It will also set up a trading corridor between somaliland and Ethiopia which is one of Africa's most populated countries.

Many of you don't have long term vision, but this will set up the next generation or some of u when you're old to have a world class port within the region and will allow for logistics of all sorts to be transferred through there by major companies. Not to mention the fact that the oil companies are back on the ground in SL

Trade me silaanyo for hassan sheekh any day. There's very few real Somali politicians left and silaanyo is Def one of them

They take 45% for the next 20 years. You had me believing it $15 million if they improved the capacity and that Somaliland would basically get a 30 year old port in exchange and hence my reaction. I hope the deal is mega.

This is robbery. It appears the 55% Somaliland gets will be the $400M anticipated revenue.

There was no mega deal. The Arabs have duped Somalis. The suicide bombers need to be shown the door.

Definitely, furthermore perhaps the biggest benefit of this deal will be that it leads to further investments coming in from the world particularly the middle east

I just think you have more pressing issues to be worried about.

Instead of being concerned about the intricacies of a Somaliland port deal, you should be concerned with why there are explosions in Ugandishu on an almost daily basis.

You should be concerned about how to actually pull a girl properly you 2-inch hybrid :umad:

Nothing concrete is being posted typical, it only mentions that 400 million dollars will be invested over a 30 year span to expand the port, nothing else is being said, nothing about how much they will be making annually nothing else we will see how this plays out.
