Why aren't the cad cad integrated ? did we leave them to themselves too long? How can we integrate them?
They arent integrated/its unlikely for them to be integrated and they are hoteps, just send them all back to hindi land and the patriotic somali bantus will be sent west for the great migration into oromo lands and secure lands for all of us.

Whats with the emphasis on paternal lineage. When Somalis also trace descent through their maternal side via ''Bah'' and ''Habar'' . Your maternal side is never ignored or irrelevant it's an important connection.

And at the same time, someone is a Somali through not only their ancestry, but also culture, language and nationality.

Also even if someone is of mixed cultural background. They can be both, they are not mutually exclusive to each-other.

It's tragic thing , so many Somalis lost their land and property to thugs with guns and hooligans.

I remember hearing that during the outbreak of the civil war they would loot and take peoples properties and justify it by saying ''This is Siad Barre's property we are confiscating'' so initially it was just blind hatred towards him, almost like those rioters you see in the UK, Kenya shouting ''Ruto out'' in recent memories or the BLM protesters in Minneapolis some years back.

When the ICU took over, they started to reinstate people's properties back and land. I hope we can see this happen again. There are many abandoned building and houses believe it or not, so that's another potentiality we can encourage more to come back to.

First bah means someone who share same mother and not father and and those share same mother dont take their mother name or tribe or clans
Second habar clans are named habar jeclo or habar yonis i think to honor their mother but still in order someone to be from those clans habar jonis or jeclo or awal they have to have the father's pater lineage not the mother maternal
You wrong
Non somalis that don't have somali paternal lineage aren't somali both islamic and somali culture and if they claim to be somali is it haram for them
Also language and nationality don't make non somalis a somalis also if they follow somali culture they have to accept they arent because in culture if someone doesn't have somali paternal lineage tru father tribe or clan they aren't somali

Bah means someone who's mom is from another clan. For example Bah Dir in Majerteen means someone who is born to a Dir Mother with a Majerteen father and Bah Yaqub means someone who is born to Warsangeli mother.

Habar is also similar to this.

You can also see this among Reer xamar clans as well. You have them tied to and form apart of other Somali clans through their maternal side.

I don't believe it's indicative of some matriarchal past or that type of speculation. But it shows that Somalis don't disregard their maternal descent and strictly view their kinship from their paternal side, both are important connections and points of origin.

The father name only takes precedent in so far he is tasked with providing for and protecting his offspring.

It’s mostly Somalis in the diaspora who are obsessed with genetics and dna,the Somalis in East Africa don’t care about this kind of stuff

They think Somalis back in the days was fixating on features ,skin colour and hair iyo waxas.

Like seriously that they would determine if you were Somali based on skin colour or hair texture. and could tell right away who is mixed or not.

None of these things were important criterias to determine what community you belonged to.
