It's a lie when people say they are not buying a home due to interest. Student loans, car payments, credit card statements and so many others have way higher interest rates than mortgages. They have no problem paying interest on discretionary spending but not on a personal and financial investment. Social assistance is also haram for the able-bodied and Islamic mortgages exist.

If you live in the West, all of your food, clothing, transportation and just having a debit or credit card means you are engrossed and fully participating in riba.

Yes I live in the South it's great. Im 40 min away from the beach and we a couple of properties. It's not good to live in every expensive location because they will be unaffordable to you or your children. My parent had noticed this in the nearly 2000s and chose my state now because it was affordable and can make investment in real-estate and have investment property soon then later. They taken advantage on the market crash in the 2008 and they got large house for pennies on the dollar. They have been investing that money in stocks with passive rental income.

London isn't what it used to be. It's height was pre-2010. No one wants to live in London anymore. Very sad to see the decline of what was once the world's greatest city. Places like South Carolina are a million times better.
