Afgooye Farms: Lower Shebelle: The Future of Somalia's economy

Somaliland and to some extent Puntland depend on food from Ethiopia but not us. Most of our food is grown or shipped into Somalia.

Puntland has never been into farming, we looked down on it historically, but the past few years things have changed. Our Agricultural output has increased and we don't rely on rivers. Of course, we need to think long-term on the most efficient ways to farm; perhaps by using desalinated water etc.

I suggest Shabelle/Jubba communities start thinking long-term instead of hoping for Ethiopia to have mercy and release more than a trickle downstream.

Why would Ethiopia just start blocking Somalia's rivers for no reason. This is nonsense.

1. Ethiopia sees Somalia as an existential threat
2. Ethiopia knows it's holding Somali land hostage and fears a strong Somalia will reclaim it.
3. Ethiopia is landlocked and wants a coastline.
4. Ethiopia is ruled by imperialist people.
5. Ethiopia has an economic incentive to be the sole provider of food and energy.

etc. etc.

Again, your exxagarating. Ethiopia doesn't need to do much with the Shebelle and Jubba rivesr because they are a trickel compared to the blue nile which is enough for Ethiopia. Ethiopia has many rives, we are not even in their radar. Plus the area is inhabited by Oromo and Somali muslims so won't see big development comapred to the many other rives in Ethiopia.

You really think Ethiopia doesn't have Somalia on its radar? Interesting thoughts.
Let's agree to disagree.

People like you are a problem. Stop trying to get Ethiopia to fight me. The old Somalia is dead. Somaliland is gone and Puntland I don't rule. Better you said Ethiopia sees Puntland as a threat.
I tell Ethiopians that I am HAG Somalia and the old Somalia is dead.

Ethiopia will swallow up Puntland. So it has you on its radar not me.

You think I am making this all up as FKD points to attack your people do you? Miskeen baad tahay.

"Denial is not just a river in Egypt".

Mashallah, Koonfur Galbeed has huge potential. Cities like Baraawe, Merca, Afgooye and Baydhabo will become a booming hotspot for tourism once safety and security is dealt with.

My cities Merca, Afgooye, Baraawe and even Mogadishu. Allahamdullahi. Farming in lower shebelle will be chpeaer and easy because of cheap electrciity.

If you have a problem with Ethiopia than be my guest to fight them. Quit trying to turn the Ethiopians against me. It won't work. You connstanly painting me as a threat to Ethiopia and Ethiopia a threat to me is silly. What is your true motive?

Loool PL has a history of agriculture, more for some communities less for others. That’s the whole reason we got ppl living in Jubadda Hoose, they didn’t travel across the country for a honeymoon.

I am talking about Puntland, not Jubbaland Hartis.

And we didn't travel Kismaayo to farm, we travelled down to trade and had livestock. Ask your family.

Why do you think these bastards constantly tries to keep us destabilized

Lower Shabeele feeds 4 million people in the capital. Imagine how much tax the Koonfur Galbeed government will collect once Somalia becomes stable. Koonfur Galbeed has a bright future.

Nomadic lord

Simply better.

Puntland is heavily reliant on Ethiopia for food, and agriculture and Puntland don't go together.

The question is who feeds Ethiopia this nonsense about being a threat to them. It is reer CBB in particular reer Abudwaaq and reer Lacasnood etc. Good to see that Ethiopia sees the truth.
My number one enemy is CBB and Al-shabab. I have no issue with Ethiopia but seek friendship and cooperation.
