It is in Puntland’s interest to see the agricultural production of Somalia shift to the friendly Ogaden in Ethiopia. Especially if the road linking Godey to Kebri Dahar is continued to Warder, Galdogb and on to Garacad.
The end of agriculture in Shabeeloyinka would increase the relative power of Puntland vis a vis Hawiye. A weaker Hawiye that increasingly urbanizes in Mogadishu, far away from Puntland, would be a blessing.

Habargidir dont live in hirshabelle except for mataaban district in Hiraan. Zero hg in middle shabelle. That said, HAG is a short-term enemy but the real existential enemy are those Ethiopians who will cripple Godey like they will Shabelle/Jubba people. They will not rest until Somali lands are wastelands that depend on Ethiopia for everything.
