The president of Koonfur Galbeed including Lower Shabeele is Mudane Laftagareen who is D&M. Therefore he collects the taxes even though right now there are mooryans who are eating the tax money of Lower Shabeele. But as soon as Somalia becomes stable and these Moryaans go away 100 percent of tax will go to Koonfur Galbeed and will be used to develop the state.

Ethiopia isn’t the problem, they’re just taking advantage of our problem. Many darood leaders as well as members on this forum such as @Thegoodshepherd and @DR OSMAN actively support this plan to dam up the river as a way to ensure more water goes to godey (darood) than Hiraan/the shabelles (Hawiye). Ethiopia is taking advance of this divide by building dams in darood inhabited parts of the Somali region like the one in godey.

Even if they are the tax is to be collected by the state. The same way a D&M who has a business in Xamar or Dhuusamareeb pays tax to the local state or administration. A HG who has a farm needs to pay the tax to the local administration aka Koonfur Galbeed.

Common misconception. Laftagareen is not an asal D&M, he’s a Xariin madow, former slaves of the asal D&M clan Xariin. The only reason he’s in power is because there’s more Xariin madows than asal Xariins these days so they move as one to boost their numbers.
