None. These people are sick. They use our membership to brag that the Arabs think Somalis are Arab.

They'll cut communication with their own mothers before leaving the Arab League. That organization is very sacred to them. I think it was only Sheikh Sharif who was even able to speak at the Arab League; the other presidents needed translators.

Somalida are the biggest Abeeds/ Coons I honestly loathe any somali that defends this league or Arabs bring our 'kin' also I don't care about deen. Hijab/ Jilbaab/ Niqab is not part of our dhaqan. Man joining the league only reformed Arabs to destroy our culture further and for over 20 years saw no significant aid from em. We need to eliminate our weak politicians and slap some somalinimo in our arab loving somalis uff

It wasn't a problem before just that the current president is weak minded and easy to manipulate. Of course there are benefits to being in the Arab league, but you won't see it because politicians are just interested in salvaging a bit of cash with no foresight!

Dodgy presidents aside. what specific perks do you find from the league?

All of those problems can easily be stopped if we had competent politicians.

Most of the politicians are paid by gulf countries so they sell out the country's resources to them.

But with decent leadership we can actually use it to our advantage.

Leaving the Arab league wont solve any of those problems anyway if the corrupt politicians are still there.

Let's get rid of both! Also Somalia needs to be Secular in order to find the best more open minded candidates to lead it and not be easily swayed by religious and tribalistic power over the common folk

for whatever reasons they joined it in the first place..it should bring benefits; political, military,trade. it's pretty much useless as this point because the useless government just know how to get milked by everyone else and have no respect.

While all the secular people ran off to the west during the civil war it was the salafi and ikhwanis that stayed and built masjids and schools with gulf money.

Can't blame the people for being wannabe Arabs now. We've done it to ourselves.

This is true, but personally I don't subscribe to this method of divvying up L's along clan lines. I know it's hard to believe but i'm honestly not a clannist. I'm Garxajis, and a Garxajis guy from Salaxley and a random Mareexaan from Ceelwaaq or a random Habar-Gidir from Cadaado are all the same to me believe it or not.

He's in his late forties and grew up in Ethiopia. The taxi driver said yeah, Sudan and Somalia are arab. That was funny.
