Death rate is pretty low all over the world thanks to modern medicines. NGOs dole out basic medicines to poor people in Somalia. Not that many die compared to pre-Industrial Europe.

Most Somalis don't live in the urban areas. NGOs don't have access to them especially when they're mobile and have no permanent residence.

We all know people who died back home over treatable illnesses.

You're painting a rosy picture. What you're saying is not true. If you get sick in Somalia, the likelihood of death is high

Nope. Probably closer to 2.5 to 3 million. Also depends on the definition of Puntland (Sool, Sanaag, North Mudug?).

If Puntland is 4 million and somaliland is 4 million then that means the whole Indian coastline Somalia is only 2 million. This is biased, there is false information, surely South Somalia should have a bigger population as it has borders with Ethiopia and Kenya.
