One of the reason south is such a mess is because of Ethiopias destabilizing presence. They use clans, fgs ,and fms against each other. can’t even fly between somaliland and Ethiopia without permission frrom FGS. Somaliland should sign deal knowing its business deal everything else is fluff. Ethiopia should pay good money for base and utilize berbera port they shouldn’t get discount for fake recognition
There's no such thing as fake recognition. All states are equally sovereign and equally capable of granting SL's first recognition which should lead to more. Ethiopia is probably one of the best states to do so because of the immediate economic and security benefits of that recognition and their influence in African politics.
The FGS is a truly failed institution, all it seems to want is to sneak up on the FMS instead of share power. Farmaajo tried and HSM is trying, none of them have even attempted political reconciliation and so Somalia is likely to continue on in name only as parts become integrated with other economies and the FGS remains virtually at a standstill.
Somaliland was wise to cut ties and build own institutions as FGS is playing catchup. 33 years of chaos was avoided and built something outside system
What would HSM recognition mean for somali galbeed ? Or Eritrea recognition of Amhara to sow chaos. Subsaharan countries babies that need to be overseen by world no one wants to open that pandoras box
These recogntions are bogus. None of those regions meet any of the critreria of a state, are not seeking indepedence and have no borders at independence. It wouldn't sow any chaos becuase no one else would follow suit.
