The deal is open ended and Somalia can’t go to any court it likes, it has to go to a Turkish court.Well the agreement itself doesn't say every oil block and Somalia of course still has full owner.

I mean, there is literally no point in Turkey extending its stay in Somalia, it has to complete those projects if it wants a return on its investment.
Only the location is in Turkey. The UN will be the ones to actually handle any disputes. The deal is open ended and Somalia can’t go to any court it likes, it has to go to a Turkish court.
She also made another really good point.
You’re not getting it.I mean. there is literally no point in Turkey extending its stay in Somalia, it has to complete those projects if it wants a return on its investment.
Two errors in your text, hope and Somalia.Only for those 6 blocks. Hopefully Somalia will renegotiate after 5 years
I'm sure they will send expired bulgur to muqdisho as a brotherly gesture for the hungry and poor. You’re not getting it.
They could prolong any project for as long as they want to stop Somalia from renegotiating. All while simultaneously profiting of our resources. So they could have different projects going on as this covers a massive area and use any of such project to keep us from ending or renegotiating a new deal. They could realistically drag it out for decades all while recouping their investment and more. And any dispute is to be arbitrated in Turkish courts instead of a neutral country.
And to make this worse, there is no audit of their so called recovery costs. They just deployed 400 Turkish soldiers in Mogadishu to protect their interests including the oil exploration and this will be added to the recovery cost. They could add anything to it.
All of which drags Somalia into a never ending loop of getting peanuts if anything while the Turks leech off us.
Extremely concerning and a likely scenario. She also made another really good point.

We will see, right now I'm not onboard with the doom narrative. I rather wait for clarification. You’re not getting it.

The suspected Turkish spy who initially claimed that such a deal did not exist and that it was merely propaganda spread by some opposition party in Turkey is now trying to Turksplain to us about how reasonable and normal it is.fake news from a kemalist in norway
