I've seen many attempts at people trying to explain this sudden agreement between HSM and Abiy Ahmed.

The reality is HSM spent a year warning of Ethiopian annexation, dismemberment. Even if the MoU was publicly disavowed by Abiy Ahmed why would he immediately enter a business deal with Ethiopia as is publicly stated. Some even suspect he went further and signed a militiary deal (if the rumours of France's intercession in regards to the Ankara agreement are to believed then there is some evidence to suggest that.

So really what is going on? Some people have tried to argue that there has been a normalization of relations? What normalization can happen without the MoU being publically withdrawn? What normalization can occur after such a year of hostility and accusations. Either the accusations of Ethiopia's hostile intent were fabricated or the FGS is in a very compromised position or both. The reality is the FGS would not willingly at this point enter into a deal with Ethiopia because of how discrediting it would be. So really there is some other factor at play which is their hand was forced by their reliance on Ethiopian troops and reliance on Turkey. Somalia is vassal to Western and Turkish interests and Ethiopia is a tool of western interests.

Ofcourse after being reminded for entire a year about Somalia's so called sovereignty it can only be expected that the populace was stunned at this outcome. The only way out of it now is to deflect on to something else.

Expect a sharp deflection to some internal problem in Somalia, probably Jubbaland now.

Yes, but they have one thing in common that we don’t sxb. They weren’t a largely nomadic culture. That’s where Somalias problems start. Most of the clan wars are due to nomadic pasture and water rights. Our culture is built out of nomadism where you just constantly move place to place. That’s why Somalis don’t have respect for much, even our language. We leave everything behind and only worry about today. That is no way to run a society or country. The Europeans and Chinese you are referring to come from more agricultural based societies. They also have a long history of civilization. Somalis are more similar to native Americans and Australian aborigines. If they don’t shape up they’ll lose everything just like them.

The reality is China had been united for 1000s of years before a century of humiliation. When have Somalis ever been united. This is the complacency at the heart of failure - complacency based on false beliefs.
Europes dark ages were preceded by centuries as part of the Roman Empire so really what Somalia has existed except for 30 years and it wasn't even all Somali groups involved and much of that time was spent fighting lol.

This is just another sign that Qoslaaye isn’t rational. Why wouldn’t he tell this guy to stand down? Fiqi also has basically the same position as this guy and does his own thing too. It’s like Qoslaaye doesn’t care or is retarded. Gov is too complex for him.

Don't be slow sxb, Qoslaye wasn't against the MoU or giving Ethiopia a naval base, he was against Muse Bixi stepping over him without him getting his cut on the agreement..

I don't think so. Abiy Ahmed went to somalia to negotiate before Somaliland and they said no. Ethiopia used MoU as leverage to get something out of Somalia and they still haven't given up on the MoU. Why would Somalia want to negotiate anything with Ethiopia? They could just fleece them like Djibouti when the time is right.
