My dad is pretty religious but my mom isn't, maybe this is just a phase idk, but I live in a very secular country and the youth aren't very religious here either, muslims and christians.

Hopefully you'll outgrow it and I would advise you to accept Islam as the truth even if you don't practice everything.
You're still young, if you can no longer do it at 30 or 40, then let go but before that, perhaps continue being Muslim?

Theres too many proofs from the quraan and the ahaadith that point to the truth of Islam, you're playing a risky game.I'll throw a quick one out there to get you guys thinking, surah al-masad in the quran condemns the Prophet Muhammad(pbuh)'s uncle abu Lahab and his wife to hellfire. This surah was revealed 10 years before the death of Abu lahab.There are many instances in the seerah where enemies of Islam became Muslim later on in life(abu sufyan, the son of abu jahl ect). The point is that the truth of islam hinged upon the sustained disbeleif of Abu lahab, if he became muslim in those 10 years the quran would have been disproven and the deen would be nullfied.Him and his wife both died kafirs. Similar ayat were revealed about Walid ibnu mugheera(the father of Khalid ibnu walid), condeming him to hellfire whilst he was alive. He also died a kafir.

What is there to be “shameful” of? This is something I don’t understand about you Muslims. If you want to feel ashamed look at Al-shabab burning down buildings and bombing down hospitals. Look at the Middle East in general or most Muslim worlds. You people destroyed Somalia with your extreme ideologies. If you guys behaved yourself and fixed your country most of us wouldn’t have left Islam. Because of you guys destroying Somalia and producing Al-shababs. Our parents forced us to flee to a western world. We are a product of our environments it’s human nature. Most of us westerners are influenced in the western worlds. I decided to leave because it’s a personal decision I made.

Most of us that left the faith have made their decisions. We’re adults living in a free world country where we can decide for ourselves.
