There are opportunities back home for those who want to work hard and but they don’t want to work those jobs, it’s not worse than Libya. Everyone wants to sit in an office working for MCH or some dowlad job. Then they go to libya knowing their family will probably have to sell their house they worked years saving up for. What were your experiences with them?

I think our perceptions of people are clouded by the contexts/environments we meet them in. There's a large Libyan population where I live and I've mostly encountered them in Masjids/Islamic institutions, some of which they run. Naturally, they were good, practicing people and my interactions with them were positive.

Spreading biases and hate against entire groups of people, which happens a lot on this forum, is very dangerous. When the flooding took place in Libya last year, wiping out entire families, some people on here were celebrating because they hated Libyans. It was very unsettling to meet good people irl who were suffering because they had lost many family members and then to come on this forum and see people celebrate that suffering. Hate desensitises you so you no longer see someone's/people's humanity.

There really aren’t. Take it from someone who’s been back home and have many cousins unemployed who also have university degrees they can’t even use. At this point they got educated for bants.

They honestly cannot find jobs, hence why I find your take laughable. Do I agree with them going Libya? Hell no, but there is something so callous and delusional about Western folks who have no clue how the lack of opportunity is terrible for the youth there and the so called jobs they don’t want to do pays like a $100 a month which hardly covers anything for a society that operates in dollars .
