I really wouldn't characterise the remaining problems as border disputes; areas like Kafia Kingi are internationally recognised as part of South Sudan.

The North straight up annexed Lebanon sized, mineral rich Southern territories during our unfortunate time together -- with Kafia Kingi being the largest; this area was annexed in 1961 by Ibrahim Abboud and transferred to Darfur.

The other areas (like Abyei) were essentially resolved with international court rulings that the North refuses to implement.

Man is an incredible creature. Always glorying about and planning shit he will likely never see but therein also lies man's greatness. We think beyond the moment. We are not mere animals who live simply to eat, shit, piss, sleep and mate. We are capable of a higher purpose though, I admit, the higher purpose is usually entirely in our heads and we would be best served focusing on the little things such as time with family, community, the deen and maintaining a healthful body but ya rab is it exciting to dream of empires and 100 year plans.
