My grandmother speaks Canfar. Her early life was spent in Tadjourah, "Canfar land," as she called it.

Canfar in Djibouti besides the typical French lingua franca, speaks Somali 10/1 compared to Somalis speaking the Canfar. Maybe not even 1/10, relatively for Somalis, lol. I have never met a Somali who can speak Canfar other than my grandmother, only other Ethiopian languages. You will find Somalis who speak Amharic and Oromo combined before you see one speak Canfar and those tri-qualingual people you got to be suspicious of.
