Taliban ban female owned shops

Hijab is compulsory there, hardly anyone is walking around with no niqab let alone no jilbaab and niqab isn’t even compulsory in Islam.
Yh but you don't know the full situation so you can't jump to conclusions, all we know is the information they told us.
At best we just stay silent until more information comes out of what actually happened.

I won't comment until I get more more context of the situation, I also heard someone say this twitter user is an unreliable source and a hater of Islam.
These are the same people that banned education using a bogus excuse. One minute they’re saying they’re trying to change the curriculum, despite coming up with that excuse years ago and the next minute they talk about how women need to serve their husbands rather than get an education.

That is them, if you want to make excuses for them, go ahead.

Wallahi, it’s scary how so many men will make excuses for this. Women really need to understand that their rights can easily be snatched away and hardly any of these guys will care. They’ll make excuses whilst you’re left oppressed and penniless.
it is all about power and might.

I don't live in Afghanistan and I don't know what their society is like or how it works other than what western media shows me, I am reluctant to make criticisms of entire governments and choices they make until I fully understand why they did what they did and if it is justified or not and how it actually will play out in society. Plus a lot of these sources are just making up lies and propaganda, If something happens here where I live in UK then I will speak out against it because I have more understanding about the situation and can speak based on knowledge

For now I will refrain from backbiting them until I understand the full picture of what they are doing. But I don't support anything they do nor do I condemn them. But when hearing random news on the internet especially twitter make sure you know that the news is truly representative of what is happening before saying your opinion because its a dangerous game speaking about what you don't know about.

The women were not wearing proper hijab, it is pretty simple, if they wore proper hijab their business would not be closed down
Don't let your judgement be clouded by dogmatism. This is tyranny, women who don't wear "proper hijab" have a right to their own businesses whether or not they wear "proper hijab". This is not a thing in Islam, stop trying to make it an issue.

Also, these peoples requirement of hijab becomes more and more ridiculous by the day. Anything that isn't a burqa is seen as wrong. Nobody got time for that.

I don't know how it exactly works in Afghanistan, but in general Islamically the government have a right to remove a persons right to have a business in public if they are not meeting the requirements of the law, Islamically if a women does not wear proper hijab then that is against the law and justifiable to shut down her business given that she is given many warnings and is advised and has the ability to do it in private but is refusing too etc...

Taliban apologists wouldn't send their own daughters to Afghanistan but want afghan women to live under taliban tyranny. All the upper echelons of the Taliban send their daughters to the gulf Arab states to learn but ban afghan women, talibs are the biggest hypocrites.

Taliban won't allow health care for women and now they're after their businesses

How many taliban related threads are you going to start ?

Did you even bother to read the source that guy quoted ? Your thread & that guy's tweet are both misleading as important details are left out. The closure ONLY applied to some stores not a complete closure of ALL stores owned by women as you're implying. Furthermore we don't if the closures are indefinite or only partial until the stores rectify the issues.

Most of these Taliban reports are Western propaganda meant to disparage them. I highly doubt this is true as a society cannot function without female businesses. I mean will men sell bras and panties in the markets of Kabul? This is fake news, lol.

It might make sense on paper but this is just another way to over-police women in the public sphere. Unless we are extending this vigilance to men - ie: closing the shops of men who wear silk/gold, shaved beards, pants over the ankles etc maybe then we can all enjoy living in a neurotic police state together :it0tdo8:

We know that they banned education despite schools there schools not being mixed. Most people with family there will tell you their exposed are boogus.

I was getting my sources from a Practicing Afghan brother on twitter who gets his sources straight from his family and looking at his posts he was saying things are dire and what the officials say is straight propaganda unfortunately as his family are in a lot of strain.

The end of the day, we know straight facts that education is banned until further notice and there is no justifying excuse for that.

You can say that about most news we hear, but many men here seem to only have that stance on Tate and Taliban banning education. Everything else they’ll jump to conclusions.

Ahhh yes ...just like the banning of higher education was once a Western rumour?

Why would they tell them to close it by next Thursday, instead of forcing them to wear correct hijab?

Unless you were born yesterday, I highly doubt those women would refuse to wear correct hijab and risk losing their shop, considering the fact that people are starving and there isn’t any job security.

Does that sound logical to you? Third world women refusing to wear proper hijab in the face of their livelihood drying up?

There must be more to the story.

Seriously sis, they’ll believe and justify the unbelievable and even if they’re proven wrong. Women being denied education wasn’t propaganda despite many men here saying in the beginning it was, they were proven wrong and they’ll continue with that vicious cycle until these women end up being under house arrest and even then they’ll try and make excuses for them and think of an Islamic justification.

Proper Hijab to the Taliban means no woman even looking in the direction of a man that isn't mahrem. There's nothing islamically wrong with women working with men.

Women only shops? while the men control everything? Now men and women can't have stores next to each other? A lame excuse again. You already know the majority of women businesses will be affected.

That's exactly the point, we lack access to first hand source & are only relying on 3 parties. Perhaps they were given that time to sort out their issues by next Thursday or they'll face closure, there's a lot we don't know & important information is left out regarding such incidents.

People commenting are just interested in their own agendas, why do people suddenly care about afghani women now when taliban have power & not when gaalada were occupying them or when usa froze afghani funds, sanctioning them etc?

Where was the outrage when afghani women were being subjected to sanctions, drone attacks, killing, occupations by gaalada ?
