4k is a small number. Thousands of kurds and shia died in the war against isis. They need to buy a lot of heavy artillery and bm 21 grad and just fire non stop.
It’s time for them to stop being pussies and take a hardline approach. Use drones and air strikes and destroy everything. They have no where to hide. There’s no forests or bushes or mountains, just flat open lands. If they retreat into cities then starve and blockade them all. Anyone who is able to leave the city, should be put in a guarded refugee camp. If Al Shabab doesn’t let anyone leave so be it, don’t stop until they surrender. If they do, then all military aged males should be rounded up and investigated, and anyone suspected of al shabab ties should be executed.

Why can’t they just make one centralised HAG army composed of 20-30k abgaal, habar gidir and xawaadle all united under one command? Combined with airstrikes, firepower, drones, they can wipe al shabab from galmudug easily.
