You said that Al Shabab exist because of Somalia’s secularism. Why do you not prefer to live in Jilib, which is the solution for Somalia’s secularism, but instead prefer to live in the even more secular West? What you are saying are just empty words that contradict your actions. You’ve defined the antidote for secularism clearly, so go and act on it.

Actually studies shows that when Muslims are more educated they are more religious. You people use Iran and other Christian nations trajectory and falsely assume it is the same with Islam. History and statistics proves you wrong over and over again.
The reason education makes them leave their religion but makes Muslims more religious is because their religions are false and Islam (Sunni) is the truth.
Islamism is a made up western word. What they mean by it is Islam itself. Islam itself is all encompassing and includes Islamic government and laws, one who denies it ceases to be Muslim. So Islam and it’s adherence including what liberals and Kafirs call “islamism” is resurgent and growing everywhere, not dying.

I'm not a fan of the west. I never mentioned the west. My original post referred to wholesale decolonization of Somalia with one that implements a fair and equitable system with Somali 'characteristics'.
What many want is a system where primacy of the rule of law, justice, dignity and equity for all like the one that prevails in Singapore and certainly not theocratic rule like in Iran or Afghanistan which overtime has proven itself to be corrupt and cruel. These turban heads issue harsh order than retreat to homes surrounded by high walls where they consume alcohol, smoke hashish or in the case of Afghanistan cavort with young boys. Its on public record.
No where in the Muslim are people are clamouring to leave Islam than in the Islamic Republic of Iran. In Afghanistan millions live in utter destitution and clamour to flee the 'Islamic Republic' and the morality police in the streets.
As for these Sheikhs in Somalia - they have proven themselves to be under the thumb of corrupt mooryans or whatever prevailing order - issuing fatwas and orders that is a mockery of Islam.
Just this week, they assembled three shiekhs in Mogadishu who issued a call that they can use as a cover to dig up graves in land they want to develop. How pitiful.
Its symbol of the decay and weakness Islam countries are in today. 2 billion Muslims cower in fright and indignation at a tiny nation of 9 million like Israel who they cannot beat.
There is no compulsion in Islam and thats the way it should be. A personal connection and understanding between you and Allah and that is it.

The rule of law prevails in the theocratic government's of Iran and Afghanistan too. what you want is a secular rule in the Muslim world where the laws of Allah are discarded for corrupt and alien anti-Islamic laws which of course is not possibility or choice for us Muslims.

The only way this can be applied is by occupation and force or puppet governments...and that's what is going on now in Somalia and all over the Muslim world. Muslims who are being forced to live in systems that are contradictory to Islam...if the west left them to themselves you will see Islamic Emirates taking over the whole Muslim world..supported by their Muslim citizens.
I don't know why Western political discourse thinks that they can change the beliefs and values of nearly 2 billion Muslims by force...its a losing battle and one they will only grow tired of.

Which religion are you speaking about? Islam and the state are one and the same, it is in the Seerah, in the Quran, a pillar of the faith, throughout history. Do you think modern western secularism is part of Islam?

Secularism, separation of church and state and personal faith is an alien concept to Islam only found in the modern west. You can choose which faith you wish to follow Islam or liberalism/secularism but Islam will never change.
The verse about no compulsion in Islam is about forcing non-Muslims to accept Islam. That is forbidden and people must choose it. Yet all Muslims know there is the Shariah, laws that are compulsory and that the Khilafah would implement. Apostates are executed. So yes, there is compulsion. A lot of liberals try to use this verse to misconstrue Islam to fit liberalism.

The outlier is poor, corrupt and wretched places like Somalia. Where there is very low literacy rates, no education system and no justice. Religion is the only thing left in their lives. Even in Saudi Arabia. No one is interested in it anymore like they were in the 80s or 90s. They seen what it done to Iran and Afghanistan.
Not foreign? Which Somali started Islam exactly? It's not even native to Africa, let alone Somalia. You don't even pray in your own language but a foreign one.

A Muslim believes in God, His sovereignty and that he sent Islam as a guidance to mankind and so submits himself to God in all spheres of his life. Just as a Muslim holds this as a belief system, the secularist also holds a belief system...the belief that man is his own sovereign, he is free to do as he wishes and follow his desires with no constraints.
This belief system has come about from exposure to the western way of thought and culture...and so just as we have chosen Islam as the ultimate truth, the secularists have chosen a Godless society as their ultimate truth.

The culima should be concerned for our souls, not running for office. God knows Somalia needs real Islam, which emphasizes unity, community, justice, honesty, and fairness. Unfortunately Islam comes a distant second to the true religion of the masses, qabiil, which always takes precedence if we're being honest.
Our society is depraved and morally bankrupt, where rape, robbery, and murder are widespread, condoned, and can always be justified by the God of Qabiil. That should be our focus, not regulating skirt lengths.
