It's good academics make note of this. They literally hijacked the Dir/Irir they've been refusing for decades and even going as far as getting a certificate from some random Arabs 'cementing' their claim to Banu Hashimnimo.

So Harti essentially made them leave Carabnimo and turn to hijacking Dirnimo and Irirnimo because of their losses in the Dagaal. There's not been this big of a hijacking since 9/11

It's very important that the southern Dir do not get caught up in this Dir or Irir political project. The southern and central Dir always had decent relations with the Darood and should keep it that way. It would be very counter productive for them to turn the Darood into an enemy when they've been in constant conflict with the Hawiye who were coveting their lands for a long time especially when the the same people who are shouting the Dir card are the ones who have no qualms in discarding it the moment they feel secure. I hope that other traditional leaders speak out and say en masse that they are not involved in these political shenanigans. We know it's Kulmiye/Heego who are pushing this new Dir project and we should all make sure it dies and never sees the light of day.
