What is your guys opinions on why birthrate is so low in countries which are more developed?

exactly. if people wanted to sacrifice in terms of living standards to have more kids, they could do it. but they don't want to. I'm not advocating forcing them but I don't see any reason not to be honest about this.
You're not getting it. In the UK, currently people are finding it difficult heating their homes and you're talking about people living below their living standards.

Anyone that lives in a big city will tell you this is. We're going through an economic crisis, with working-class couples living in two income household are struggling to pay for energy bills in places like the UK.

I find that those that downplay the economic realities of today's current society tend to be young and unmarried.
I found this research study interesting for reasons why people aren't having children

I am of the opinion that the school raises a child for a good chunk of there life, they spend around 40% of their day there, if they have after schoool clubs than 50-60%, they are hanging around other kids all day and taught by teachers and TAs and disciplined by them and spend most of their time with them, they then go back and watch tv or play games for 4 hours then go sleep, for the most part parents don't actually spend alot of times with their kids and schools do a big part of it. Sending your child to school is like babysitting

many people in western cultures don't want kids.... it is a way more common mindset than in countries with high fertility
I personally believe the excuse of finances is more of the cultural view towards sacrificing ones way of living in order to live more lavishly because they put that ahead of raising kids

I just don't believe their struggle is on the same level as people in Yemen.

You’d think that but think about working mothers who have to wake up at 5, pack their pack lunches, put their uniform on for them, get themselves ready, drop off at school. Go to work, pick up the kids, make food, clean a bit, help them with their homework ect.

Most women I know who work say that non school days are easier. I’ve seen it first hand.

How many people in the Uk are having dificulty heating their homes though?
I searched it up and about 4% of people can't afford it.

With all due respect, how old are you and Omar? Do you know how much it is to put a basic roof over your head in London Saxib and do you honestly think it’s the same as paying for a basic Areesh in the outskirts of Xamar? You’re literally comparing apples and oranges.

Money doesn’t stretch in todays Western world and that is the problem. Once you can tell me how much the average 1bed in London and how much is the average salary, then we’ll talk.

Its not about difficulty but quality time, a women who has to drop her kids off to school is doing a job before she does her actual job and sends her kids to school.
1.This has nothing to do with my point since it is still babysitting to a certain extent and raising your kids,
2.The quality time spent with kids is alot of less

that's exactly it. it's crazy to pretend couples in first-world countries lack the resources but couples in the poorest countries in the world have the resources.

For me where I live a 1bed studio flat would be £20k a year, plus gas and electriity it would go up to £30k

I think as people get richer they become more selfish and many people see children as a burden that's why westerners have less children imo and this will be the demise of many rich countries.

inaccurate because that takes the immigrants into account locals have a high birth rate
The gap is starting to close and the world is rapidly changing. The fact that we have middle aged immigrant Somali mothers are mostly all working in care, despite spending a lifetime on benefits, should tell you that things are not the same anymore.

That is definitely a part of it. Also, the view of quality over quantity pays a role and the state pensions. Africans history had a view that their children will be their pension. Not having kids Is a life of being at their mercy of your siblings and their kids who might not even care about you.
