Because their own suldaan said jaarso are oromosThe jaarso that live in the somali region identify as Somali. If they were Oromo then why differentiate between Somalis?
Jarso are actually Somali who've been assimilated by Oromos. Some identify as Somali so I would rather consider them Somalis than push them away and let them be completely assimilated by Oromos. If they were to claim Oromo it wouldn't be good for the Somalis because then the Oromos could claim faafan region.Because their own suldaan said jaarso are oromos

Oromos are not even a real group there is no old documented evidence of their existence they are a conglomerate of people different ethnics recently united by tongueYh but the Oromos themselves will tell you Jarso were never Somalis. Ask @AfranQallo

There are some sub clans within them that are SomalisYes those with clear evidence such as the Gurgure, Barsuk, Karanle (Hawiye) etc. There is no proof Jarso was ever a Somali group in historical records though so don't be quick to claim them.

They're originally Somali but were assimilated by oromos. The current jaarsos are a confused clan confederation
Emperor Amda Seyon I of Abyssiniaconquered many of the adjacent independent Muslim sultanates during his reign. In 1329, Sulṭān Ḥaydar of Dawaro was captured and imprisoned together with his ally Sulṭān Sabir ad-Dīn Maḥamed. Despite several rebellions and a brief period when Ahmeduddin Badlay a powerful Somali ruler from Adal Sultanatecaptured Dawaro and turned it into a vessel of Adal and after the weakening of Adal Sultanate, the opportunist Oromos captured the vessel state and assimilated the local native Somali population. Just like many Somalis in Hararghe, the Jarso people were also assimilated into the Oromo confederation after the weakening of Adal Sultanate by its war with the Ethiopian Empireand Portuguese Empire.[3]

That is Wikipedia niyohow. I am talking about concrete evidence. For example the Gurgure and Bursuk were mentioned as Somali clans in Futah Al Habash conquest of Abyssinia.
Well whatever they were originally is irrelevant. We don't accept confused clans so they're oromo to me
Check the refrences niyow. Also these clans were assimilated in the last 2 centuries, Jaarso was before that. So it's logical why Somalis remember them. That is Wikipedia niyohow. If a clan claims they are oromo even once, they are oromo forever imho. By adding all of these unverifiable peoples dir is not a clan any longer, but a confederation that can add and subtract clans based on politics.
