How can ensure any agreements made are kept? The FGS is pretty corrupt. For example HSM just change the constition without consensus and past it through a fake parliment. how can you ensure any deal made is not simple backed out of later?I would revise the Union and make the changes SL wishes for other than secession. Capital and president? Ok for me and for most who likes to see a united developing Somalia.
HSM doesn't own Somalia and in the case of ensuring any agreement made, well the government and the capital would be in the north. They could just give stipulations that it needs time to be implemented lets say 5 -10 years and then during that time reverse it or just come up with excuse not to implement it. And all the states wouldn't agree to a new capital anyway similar to the new constitution recently. Also for example in the Somaliland/Somalia talks they agreed on joint airspace control and the FGS went against that and just seized it and now politise it and use it against Somaliland. It's just wishful thinking that FGS has any ability to make and keep agreements with Somaliland.HSM doesn't own Somalia and in the case of ensuring any agreement made, well the government and the capital would be in the north. 1. An airspace is the sovereign right of a country's authority to manage. Agreeing to that deal was wrong to begin with imho. They could just give stipulations that it needs time to be implemented lets say 5 -10 years and then during that time reverse it or just come up with excuse not to implement it. 1. No excuses, why would a sovereign nation give up its authority to a region it claims?
2. Any agreement between the north and the south would have to have conditions and timetables for said conditions.
3. Big bad west that keeps the south from recognising SSC and destabilise Awdal is what will make sure we keep our end of the deal...

My guy Somalia hasn't used an ounce of resources on SL before the MoU as that crossed a line. Before that any claim to secession was SQUASHED when their secession got secessioned by a sub sub sub clan who didn’t agree to with the secessionists dream of secession.Because Somalia is not sovereign and it's wasting resources trying to counter Somaliland. Those resources can be used to help Somalia instead of being used to counter Somaliland. This is the simple argument. It's common sense to agree to disagree.
Somalia needs to bridge the gap to become a sovereign state but it wasted so much resources already trying to stop Somaliland. There will be a time in the future where people will see the past year as a wasted/missed opportunity.

Even then the IC is keeping the FG from destabilising the north, hence why they haven’t recognised SSC as a state. Even though they deal with them directly, just to keep SL on their toes. If need be, we could go that route.
Edit: No, I will not continue the same discussion we've had before. Waan kaa daaley sxb. WARZIO ii daa.
The Mogadishu government doesn't control much territority or perform basic state functions even in the capital. Why is it focusing on Somaliland? Somalia literally has not one dollar or one minute to spare on Somaliland, this is the truth.
Any state has territorial battles it happens from time to time. Somaliland is going to make it back no problem
