A New military base will be opened to Somalia

Like that long lengthy post I wrote, I support both the UAE base, this Qatar one and the Mogadishu one, the region gets a much needed development, the troops are trained and more $$$ is pumped in, this rivalry between UAE-EGYPT vs Turkey-Qatar Axis will be the greatest thing to happen to the Somali peninsula if managed properly.

It will keep the Hyena's like Ethiopia/Kenya whom are the greatest destabilization's arm in the country out of Somalia totally. This is the only common ground I have with @waraabe

This would mean that the Turkey-Qatar Axis will control Benadir/Hiirshabelle/P/land, UAE will have S/land, South-West will go with Ethiopia and J/land with Kenya who has already handed her port to UAE, Galmudug will be the dark horse, but likely once Guleed goes it will go into the Turkey-Qatar camp.

This is the outlook of the region in the chess game, there is no better time then now to have a good national leader or even federal leader, there is a lot of hands you can play to get the best deal or be stupid and get left behind.

Simple reason, Ethiopian prime minister just 2 weeks ago was in Somalia tv talking about Somalia joining to Ethiopia. Listen we don't have enough choices. We need to stop the Ethiopian aggression.

Arab don't want to occupy us, they just need our location and ports. They can go to Eritrea or Sudan or Djibouti. Think of all the investment that will come to Somalia.( Jobs, infrastructure, middle class country)

Kismayu (MCRS) 06 Jan. 2016 – The United Arab Emirates has announced plans to commission development projects in Kismayo, headquarters of the Jubaland administration.

Speaking at a joint press conference with Jubaland President Ahmed Madobe which was held in Kismayo yesterday, UAE’s envoy to Somalia Mohamed Ahmed Othman Al Hammadi said his government will build schools, hospitals, a local government center as well as a prison in Kismayo.

President Madoobe thanked the UAE for its development initiatives in Jubaland including donation of military gear to the Jubaland forces.

This comes at a time when UAE companies are competing with their Turkish counterparts to land the tender for the construction of the Kismayo port.

Tbh I get the feeling they're doing all these deals to undermine Farmaajo and the peace process by exacerbating tensions between federal states and the central government.

It's time to abolish this federalism disaster.

Only problem is that the federal government doesn't have the power to even get that trough. It can't keep a city safe let alone taker power from corrupt warlords. That is a pipe-dream and recent studies show 60 % + support for Federalism. You meet a wall called reality :bell:
