The Dir clade T-BY181210 lineage does not come from Yemen. This is evidenced by this lineage being completely absent from Yemen. It either came from Egypt/Sudan or from Hijaz.

He is not Yemeni. Nisba Al-Jabarti meant that he was Somali from Somalia. Because Jabarta is what they called Northern region. We have Manuscripts from Yemen Rasulid Dynasty that covers it
You are right Somalis often took pride in where they were from and carried a nisba to denote their homeland.
Anyways those manuscripts are interesting, in so far as they reveal that despite Somalis taking on the Aqili Quraishi lineage claim they didn't necessarily see themselves as Arabs and Arabs saw us al-ajam (non-arab) regardless.

So consequently it is easy to see how the lineage claims don't relate to Arab identity, but an Islamic identity, to draw a closer attachment to their religious faith. That's really what it boils down to, there is no need to read to deep into it

It was found in people from Asir region, no? That's basically Yemen, my guy. Saudis just managed to annex it a long time ago but there were always disputes with Yemen over it. And ultimately, if it came from Arabia then the conduit was almost definitely Yemen given the strong evidence of contact with it in other ways that I outlined.
I don’t agree with the Sheikh, I've always heard that Arabic speaking is what makes on Arab not genetics. Khaleejis differ from the Phoenicians of Lebanon and the Amazigh/Berbers of North Africa. Being Arab is essentially a confederation of diverse peoples bound together by the Arabic language.

Lebanon has a case as there is no Arab tribes there. But the vast majority of the Levant had Arab tribal migrations which reflects in their DNA & uniparentals. Pure Arabs still exist in the Syrian Desert, Negev Desert & parts of Jordan.
As for the Maghreb, Berbers are indeed not Arabs will never call themselves Arabs. But there were large Arab migrations mostly spearheaded by the Bani Hilal & smaller clans who joined them in their movements to the Maghreb. Calling an Arab Maghrebi from an Arab tribe non-Arab is nonsensical. Considering it reflects in their autosomal dna & uniparentals. My wife for example is still 15-20% Arabian despite her ancestors migrating from the Hijaz 800 years ago (Alawite same tribe as the King).

This is what i've been saying. Islamisation and Arabisation are two different movements that affected countries at different rates.
Berbers aren't arab as they don't speak Arabic, and only some are Muslim.
Somalis aren't arab as we don't speak Arabic, but we are Muslim so we have only been Islamised.
To be Arabised we need to speak Arabic or at least a dialect like Darija. Loan words do not count, otherwise, Spain is Arab as they were once part of the Ummayads and they have Arabic loan words. Their colonisation makes them more likely to be Arab than Somalis who were not apart of an Arab empire.
