A federation (what we have now) let alone a confederation is a disaster, Somalis are too few in population, considering the land mass of the state combine that with a rambunctious nature it means no authoritative state can be formed or a cohesive and civic national identity since people are too concerned with their tuulo.

The collapse in the Galmudug front showed that long before Ras Kambooni, Madoobe even did a speech chastising the SNA.

The Galmudug campaign was a disaster and you arent accounting for the reversed gains made by AS nor the causes of defeat for the SNA. The president lost control of the army with some sections abstaining entirely sabotaging eachother over clan/politics.

JL has fully secured the road to Afmadow where AS would hold an economic sanction on the people of JL. Aswell as liberated from Cabdalle Biroole to Lagta Caanoole or Wadajir. Effectively securing the coast and pushing AS another 80-90KM of road west into Badhaadhe district. Afmadows road alone is 115km this is not including the section to Dhoobley which has largely been secured aswell. JL achieved this without arming clan militias and reduced drone usage.

@Removed this kid would not even conceed that HSM was going to meet with Abiye the very night before he did. He is very hard-headed and argumentative for no reason, then when proven wrong he will simply pretend it doesn’t matter or didn’t happen as he’s clearly doing here. I also suspect that he doesn’t speak the Somali language which I just find utterly despicable tbh. To call it a disaster is being overely harsh for the sake of it. It wasn't the grand success they were hoping it to be but the fact that Shabab was cleared away from much of central Somalia shows the improvements made in the military capabilities of SNA whereas before they have barely ever engaged with Al-Shabab. That is the important point I wanted to illustrate.

All momentum was lost there were massive casualties with some being high profile. The army was routed and gains were reversed. I mentioned it in another thread the SNA had zero right losing that battle.
