Also, the fact that Somalis are overrepresented in crime statistics does not mean Somalis are inferior to Norwegians. Using your logic, it can be said that Irish and Italian immigrants groups are subhuman because they formed most of NYC gangs in the 1920s.

Somalis don't really form major crime gangs in Norway though based on what i've read. Norway is not Sweden. So it's a bit of bade comparison in this case. Norway doesn't have ghettos or highly organized crime gangs.

Gave context to those stats as well, they are about suspected/accused crime offences but not actual proven crime offenses which is lower and only fraction of those accused.

But you brought a good historical example in terms of immigrant crime in the United States. This actually extends not only to Irish or Italians but also Norwegians and many other European nationalities, when the Norwegians immigrated to the US they were among the least integrated and it took them 3 generations to catch up

The older generation and those that grew up in Somalia that came over commit considerably less crime than the youth.

The youth in the west are mostly involved in small time petty crime like shoplifting, loitering etc . They are not really highly represented in organized drug trafficking and violent crime compared with other nationalities.

that's because they are old. old people usually don't commit crimes. when those old people where young they committed crimes in somalia. and if you have interacted with many old somalis you will be shocked by the crimes they have witnessed or some even committed. those crimes would make average hoodlum look soft.

Orphans were also giving civic employment duties and given housing.

So to many Somali parents who fled the war a lot of this is unfamiliar territory to them and you see this in studies when people interview them:

from personal experience of growing in refugee camp and coming to America with lots of Somalis. I can tell you a lot of them didn't even come with their families. this were teens and had to immediately had to figure shit out for themselves. (thrown to the streets). some used mosques as address. and lived in shelters in Minneapolis which then breed gangs. the civil war destroyed the Somali family structure resulting in the mess that you see.

Somalia had a constant tribal camel raids in the 60s(shifto). this was in fact on of the selling point of Siad barre. that he delt harshly with them. but crime was common. just not recorded and publicized like today. and the civil war made the past look with rose eyes making people forget the shit that happened.
