This is true but there is another side of the coin where people who claim noble lineages must prove they are who they say they are. The Islamic scholars of geneology are explicit in this matter. All genetic studies done so far show that your clan and my clan as well show no Arab paternal ancestors. The evidence is strong enough that at this point you are attributing yourself to a false lineage and committing one of the kabaira.

You claim to be from banu hashim. That is how the oral history goes. In Islam when you claim such a noble lineage the burden of the evidence is on you to show that you are indeed from that lineage or else everyone would claim to be ahl al bait and no one would question them. Thing is I have enough proof to show that at least most of the members of your clan are not banu Hashim or even from an arab.
