Not Somalia.
The world needs less regulation. Less regulation is how businesses grow. If you want to make changes in the fisheries sector it can only be achieved through a great company that sets the standards.
Other business will emulate sustainable models and this is how you do the work for the politicians.
But 90% of the dudes on this forum waste thier energy with Political strategies.
Does it even count as politics? Businesses inherently need security, stability, and a functional economy to operate regardless of whether its a capitalist free market or not. The question is how do we get there?
I would be okay with a functioning corporatocracy that can at least to some extent protect its 'consumers', even if in self-interest. Allowing foreign companies to illegally exploit your resources is not overregulation, it's stupidity. Though not ideal, I would much rather a completely regulation-free fishing industry capitalised on by SOMALI businesses. It doesn't matter if the industry self-destructs as long as it pumps money into the economy and creates a platform for new industries. Right now we get the worst of both worlds. Regulation is not what's bottle-necking Somalia.
