Not Somalia.

The world needs less regulation. Less regulation is how businesses grow. If you want to make changes in the fisheries sector it can only be achieved through a great company that sets the standards.

Other business will emulate sustainable models and this is how you do the work for the politicians.

But 90% of the dudes on this forum waste thier energy with Political strategies.

Does it even count as politics? Businesses inherently need security, stability, and a functional economy to operate regardless of whether its a capitalist free market or not. The question is how do we get there?

I would be okay with a functioning corporatocracy that can at least to some extent protect its 'consumers', even if in self-interest. Allowing foreign companies to illegally exploit your resources is not overregulation, it's stupidity. Though not ideal, I would much rather a completely regulation-free fishing industry capitalised on by SOMALI businesses. It doesn't matter if the industry self-destructs as long as it pumps money into the economy and creates a platform for new industries. Right now we get the worst of both worlds. Regulation is not what's bottle-necking Somalia.

"It would only make us poor and divided"

I wonder what alternate somalia these niggas are from
Why are you talking like Somalia has never been united & a country for us to be proud of? people who achieved great things when they come together and built their country.

The only reason we're still in this condition is cause vermin like yourself who bares too much Enmity & is incapable of forgiving and moving on looking at the greater good.

If Somalia divides now into tribal countries, do you think it's going to end there? There's going to be tribal wars sub sub clans will start declaring their own fiefdoms.

As a United people we can achieve much more, there's more that unites us than that which divides us, its unislamic to divide Muslims.

You do know as a puntlander you will be frowned upon if you entertain this talk so I suggest you take it to somaliland where they will welcome you with open arms & will even declare you as the new boqor of darood cause you share their views.

Your a politician. I'm a capitalist.

We will never see eye to eye.

UN will not Recognize any Region or new state in Somalia. Because Somalis are most homogeneous people in Africa,we speak same language we have same religion and color I mean Clans Dir Darod Hawiye, by the Somalia can not be Balkanized, Balkan Region in East Europe They Speak different Languages they have Muslims, Christians, Croats Bosnian muslim Kosovo Albanic Serbians , But we are all xolo dhaqato badaiyiin ,if Isaq in SL want to be recognized they should speak different language and have Religion plus they should be minority Ethnic group.

Trust me, if I really got my way it wouldn't be anything like in the OP. Perhaps I'm being optimistic about it, but 'my way' executed properly >> the status quo. My left nut >> the status quo. Literally everything >> the status quo

Your way won't be executed properly though. So the question then becomes, is your way executed poorly better than the status quo? I think the status quo can be changed. Once split up though that will the end of Somalia, forever.

When there's a will there's a way, our people will sooner or later reconcile and unite.

Diasporans have no say imo.

Splitting the country up isn't going to end; corruption, terrorism, foreign agents and in turn poverty and instability.

It would actually exacerbate it to a stage where Somalia will be lost forever.

We'll end up as one of the 80 and 70 ethnicities in Ethiopia & Kenya; never able to determine our own future as a people.

The only thing that would fix Somalia is strong leadership that is prepared to tackle the underlying sources of Somalia's conflict for the past 2 decades; traitors & foreign influences.
