Leaving Islam Is the equivalent of telling a white racist father their daughter is dating a black man or a homophobic parents hating their kids for coming out of the closet. Islam can’t tolerate in their own worlds some people just don’t believe in their prophets or God.

Apostasy laws can only be practiced in the Muslim countries that have sharia in it. Western born kids with Muslim parents can leave Islam without the consequences of going through the sharia punishments (because they’re not residing in the Muslim domain). Somalis are collective in nature and backbite all the time. If you do things that’s out of the norm they’ll talk about you everyday instead of minding their own business. I do believe they’re Somalis who left islam in Somalia but that would put their lives in jeopardy since Somalia have al-shabab sympathisers. Is a dead end it’s what I’m saying.

Somalis in the diaspora have the chances of coming out but still wants to retain connections with their parents. Gen z are gonna change the game. Give it some generations and announcing leaving Islam is gonna be like walking at the park.

If islam left Somalia today and we all became secular in 30-40 years we would hear stories of STD, Drugs, Fatherlessness and LGBT skyrocketing.
