The reason why Somalis (and majority countries that have Muslim in it) is because Islam practice apostasy laws compare to other religions. Leaving Islam Is the equivalent of telling a white racist father their daughter is dating a black man or a homophobic parents hating their kids for coming out of the closet. Islam can’t tolerate in their own worlds some people just don’t believe in their prophets or God.
Apostasy laws can only be practiced in the Muslim countries that have sharia in it. Western born kids with Muslim parents can leave Islam without the consequences of going through the sharia punishments (because they’re not residing in the Muslim domain). But still feel attacked for leaving or judged.
What I said applies to Somalis everywhere, not just in Somalia.
You would be hard pressed to find a Somali that is not Muslim and when you find the very rare one they have nothing to do with the Somali community and are completely cut off. They completely integrate into the society whose religion they adopted, in this case liberalism/atheism in the west. Like Ayaan Hersi Ali. No one considers them Somali.
That is the point, they do not exist in the real world amongst Somali people, in any and all countries Muslim or not.
That is why the amount online who claim to be Somali is silly. We do not know who you are and if any of you are Somali at all or were ever Muslim to begin with as I said.
