The main issue with secession is where does it stop. You have secession along clan lines but then they seem to forget that the lands were originally divided along the sub clan and even sub sub clan lines. You would eventually have villages wanting to secede from each other and village chiefs vying to don the title "president". Not to mention there are a two united xtian nations next door that are the open enemies of Islam and will stop at nothing than the continued subjugation and humiliation of all of us.
The tribalists are just as dangerous and filthy as the nationalists and there is no place for them in a future Islamic Somalia that dominates the Horn. Many of them on this forum are clear stooges for the Xtian neighbors and are open enemies of Islam. They are just as dangerous as the marxists and the only response that is befitting of them is the sword. The prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said: “He is not one of us who calls to tribalism. He is not one of us who fights for the sake of tribalism. He is not one of us who dies following the way of tribalism.” When the Aws and Khazraj were about to renew a centuries old conflict between the two Muslim tribes, the prophet sallallahu Alayhi wa sallam said:
"O Muslims, would you return to the ways of jahiliyah while I am still among you, and after god had honored you with Islam and freed you by means of it from the ways of jahiliyah and reconciled your hearts? Would you then return so quickly to your rejection of faith?".
Notice how the prophet salllallahu alayhi wa sallam in both instances clearly indicates the potential nullification of iman of those who cause discord among the Muslims along tribal lines and who fight Muslims along tribal lines. There is no question these tribalists and secessionists are interested in nothing but sowing the seeds of dissension among the muslimeen and are our open enemies and allies of the Xtian enemies next door. There should be nothing but the sword for these shayateen whose agenda is crystal clear.

What worked in the distant past is no longer an option today.
