Some women will obviously be traditional homemakers while those who do decide to join the labor force will have access to extended maternity and other programs that lessen their burden.

That has worked for thousands of years. Women were not locked up per se but they did not assume the roles of men like they do today. They have the right to be educated, work, etc. The 'babies' that they are 'popping out' are tomorrow's leaders, businesspeople, academics and contributors to the economy. Today's economy can be entirely blamed on the international monetary system and if you are not well-versed in this topic, there's nothing I can do for you.
