They're escaping a war that's been fueled because clanism and most recently extremist islamics but also because of a failed corrupt state. Religion and Clan is the two main problems in Somali. Somalis are fleeing because of lack of human right. Somalis are fleeing to European nations because of better opportunists for both women and man. If Somalis we're not migrating for the western values and stability then why not move to Muslim countries like Saudi Arabia and Indonesia, oh right because of lack of democracy.

The people back home masquerading as Somalis must be viewed as a lost generation who will be nothing more than pack animals since they are not able to contribute in any meaningful way. I don't know who that lady is so I can't speak to that. I don't know anything about her. In any case, I doubt that is in her job description.
But you seem to defend 'cultural values' seemingly at all cost. Any and all manner of strange and negative things have been defended along those lines. I don't think change is inherently bad (it is at times necessary, and mostly inevitable anyway). Somali culture changes and will change. Giving women a greater role in society would not constitute a fundamental change to somali culture.
